Western White Clematis is found throughour most of the western US and up into British Columbia. Also Known as Virgins Bower, Creek Clematis, Travelers Joy, Old Man's beard, Pipestems and Peppervine, it grows 20 or more feet high in trees and brush when available. Very pretty with its white masses of flowers and later its showy seedheads. natives used it for many medicinal and practical uses. hardy and drought tolerant, it starts easily from seed or cuttings.
