Coyote Bush (Baccharis pilularis, subspecies consanguinea) is a fast growing evergreen bush native to the west coast from Washington south to Baja California. Very easy to grow it can take garden watering, but is also very drought tolerant and can thrive in CA summers without irrigation once established. Covered in white to yellow flowers that turn into long lasting puffy white seed heads that last through the winter. Said to be fire tolerant and makes an excellent erosion control plant. Seed collected from native stands on the Klamath River, Humboldt County, CA.
