The Valley Oak is one of the largest and most magnificent of all native American oaks. Living up to 600 years and growing over 100' tall it is native to California's interior valleys from Siskiyou County down to San Diego. A white oak it produces large sweet acorns that are very edible and were widely harvested by the native Indians where they grew. Terrific wildlife food too.
