Native to Western North America Pacific Dogwood grows both out in the open and also as an understory tree in the towering evergreen forests of the region. One of the most spectacular and large growing of all the dogwood species with its very showy white blooms in the spring, bright red abundant fruits in late summer and lovely pink and purple fall color. The fruits are widely appreciated by birds and other wildlife. Prefers moist soils rich in organic matter, growing 25-75 feet tall. Hardy zones 7-9.
