Northwest Greening Apple Scionwood
An excellent old heirloom variety that produces very large shiny green sweet and flavorful fruit that is great for pies and cooking, but also makes a fine fresh eating apple. Ripens mid to late September, but keeps well if kept cool. Was widely planted in the old commercial orchards on Orcas Island, WA in the early 1900's.
