The original Gala that was introduced in New Zealand in the 1930's. Highly productive sweet and crisp fruit bears late summer. Yellow skin is overlaid with pretty red stripes. A cross of Kidd's Orange, Golden Delicious and Red Delicious. Can be grown in both northern and southern low chill climates. Hardy zones 5-8.
