Large beautiful red, orange and pink colored fruit has delicious, very sweet and fruity flesh. Tested with an average brix of 14.47! This Opuntia ficus-indica cultivar was collected in Algeria and donated to the USDA Germplasm repository by Opuntia breeder Peter Felker. We obtaned this selection from the National Arid Land Plant Genetic Resource Unit (NALPGRU) in Parlier, CA. Special thanks to Gabriela Romano who shared much information from evaluations done there to determine the best of the many varieties held their. Hardy zones 8-11.
